ifilm English to start airing new series ‘Pioneer’

Iranian series ‘Pioneer’ has been scheduled to be on ifilm channel’s playlist.

Airing of the series, produced by Saeed Alikhani and directed by Masoud Takavar, is to commence on October 14, 2017.

Kourosh is a singer who desperately wants to compile and distribute an album, but he does not think it will be possible for him to do so in Iran. His fiancé, Nazanin, is a poet who writes the lyrics for his songs.

The two of them want to go abroad, but they cannot afford it. Moreover, Kourosh’s wealthy father refuses to help because he is not happy about the fact that Kourosh wants to marry Nazanin, who he thinks has a bad influence on his son.

When the father comes up with a plan to separate them by bribing Nazanin to leave the country alone, Kourosh plots to double-cross his father, steal his money and ultimately join Nazanin abroad.

Among the cast list are Yousef Teymouri, Anahita Hemmati, Mehdi Aminikhah, Hamed Komeili, Javad Hashemi, Reza Rouygari, Maryam Kaviani, and Farideh Daryamaj.

‘Pioneer’, produced in 2008, is to replace the series ‘Passion to Fly’ to be broadcast at 20:00 GMT.

ifilm English will also repeat each episode of the series the following day at 01:00, 07:00 and 12:00. ‘Pioneer’ is comprised of 22 segments.
